Before mortgages and real estate, Rafael spent five years in the Marine Corps, including supporting the 2nd Marine Raider Battalion. He later worked in the defense industry supporting the F-35 program. Both roles demanded preparation, direct communication and ownership. He still brings those standards to every transaction.

Today, Rafael helps Veterans, active-duty families, first-time buyers, move-up buyers and clients whose financing needs more thought than plugging numbers into an application. He works extensively with VA financing and particularly enjoys VA construction and One-Time Close loans, transactions involving land and a home, manufactured housing and unusual scenarios.

The approach is simple.
Educate the client. Explain the options without the jargon. Find problems early. Never hide bad news just to keep a deal alive. The answer is not always yes. Even then, the client should understand why and know what can be done next.
Outside the office.
Rafael lives in the DFW area with his wife, Leslie, and their daughters, Lola and Camerina. When he is not working on mortgages, he is usually with family, training for a triathlon or endurance race, boating, fishing, spending time outside or finding another project to work on.
